, F7, or menu: Edit > Spelling to start spelling checking. If an error is found this dialog opens.
Spelling checking uses MS Word proofing tools. If these are not installed spelling checking will not work.
You can change the language settings in Word. Menu: Tools > Language > Set Language
Displays a possible error, such as a misspelled word, a duplicate word, a grammar error, or incorrect capitalization. Edit the text in this box to correct it, and then click Change, or click the correct word in the Suggestions box and then click Change.
Click Change to accept the current selection in the Suggestions box, or edit the text in the box and then click Change. When the selected error is a repeated word, this button changes to Delete so you can easily remove the second instance of the word.
Lists suggested corrections for the highlighted spelling or grammar error above. The Suggestions list is unavailable if you have cleared the Always suggest check box in the Spelling & Grammar Options dialog box. For spelling errors, lists suggested replacement words from the main dictionary and open custom dictionaries. For grammar errors, lists suggested corrections based on the current grammar style and grammar settings.
Leaves current instances of the highlighted error unchanged and continues to check the document.
Leaves all instances of the highlighted error unchanged throughout the document and continues to check the document. Word will ignore this spelling error or type of grammar error throughout the rest of the current Word session.
Adds the highlighted word in the Not in dictionary box to the custom dictionary. (Click Options to change the active custom dictionary.)
