The files are stored in a folder you selected during the wizard session. The default location is a subfolder CHM below your application's project folder. An easy way to open the folder when you are in the HTML Help Editor is menu: File > Open Help folder.

Our software uses the MS HTML Help Workshop compiler, but it's further use should not bother you, unless you have very specific requirements. Primary source of info of course is the workshop's help file. Another good source is Help Technology centre

It seems that one of Microsoft's updates to Windows XP causes this
problem. In every case, causing Windows to install all the latest updates has
fixed the problem. You can start the "Windows Update" process by visiting

Microsoft released a security patch that makes it impossible to view CHM files that are stored on a network drive (as opposed to CHM files stored on your own computer). The help file will appear, but instead of the topic text you will see an error message "this page cannot be displayed". A list of workarounds that involve changing the registry is given at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896054. The easiest is to download and run one of the following reg files to make the required registry changes:
